You have taught me everything I know about Photoshop and HDR and I look forward to learning more. If you are going to have a canvas printed, what do I choose? US coated or one of the other options? Do I check or uncheck the color profile when I save the JPG to send to the printer? If the post processed image file and a new file I want are a different aspect ratio, can I crop the new smaller size without losing pixel per inch? Example 16×20 cropped to 11×14.Īnother area of confusion for me is the Color Settings. Should I use the crop tool or resize it in Image Size? Can I crop to 24×36 and have a good print?Īfter I have done my post processing on the 24×36 and save it, can I then crop the image to 18×24 and save it as another file or will I ruin the pixels per inch? The images come out of the camera at 11×17 inches approximately. I’m still confused about setting up my images to be printed.

Here's a 2x enlargement (2x on both sides, so 4x overall) of a 4.6-megapixel JPEG from a Sigma DP1. Unlike Adobe's Super Resolution tool, ON1 Resize AI can work on JPEGs and TIFFs, and it offers a range of magnifications, not just Adobe's 2x 'take it or leave it' approach (and huge DNG output files). We’ve got lots of photos shot on 6MP Nikon D50s or 8MP Canon DSLRs from years back, and we’re sure lots of other photographers have too. It’s also designed to breath new life back into photos taken on older, lower resolution cameras.
